Okay it’s official I’m middle aged. Swimsuit season is on the way . I love the water and have every intention of enjoying the beach but the thought of wearing a swimsuit now makes me nervous. The plus size selection these days is amazing from ultra sexy to the good old granny swim dresses. I saw several that I loved that leaned more to sexy of course , but then suddenly I remembered I’m not 30 nor a size 18 anymore I’m a certifiable AARP card carrying plus sized “mature lady.”
So I started looking for age and size “appropriate” swim wear and realized I would not be caught dead in a swim dress. No matter how thunderous my thighs. I finally settled on swim shorts and a colorful tankini top with tummy control (Yay!) both at Avenue . They’re not exactly sexy but at least current and tasteful A decent compromise for a fluffy middle aged chic.
I want my sexy back …
