Vee Thompson is a third generation dressmaker /seamstress, and a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. There she earned a degree in fashion design. After working briefly in the garment industry, She produced her own- line of woman's sportswear, and eventually taught fashion design classes. She has a passion for most any kind of art and design, is a skilled and enthusiastic crafter, a prolific writer and has won several public speaking awards.

I have been plus sized, but "fashionable" all my life. My mother was a gifted dressmaker and she had to make my clothes even when I was a little girl.

I would like to be considered a Drum Major for the "Fat and Fit" acceptance movement. My goal is to inspire women and men to be their very best at whatever size. As for all the anti fat criticism I say:

"Let people run their mouths, And YOU run your affairs."

In other words tune out all the negative talk and do whatever it is you have to do to live your best possible life. Remember your loudest critics will always be those who just find it easier to put you down than to deal with their own issues

Love, Peace and Blessings
