Who Is She?

The Classic Plus Size Woman is a woman at peace with her curves. She has arrived or is at least well into her journey of self acceptance. She knows now that being thin or full figured does not make a woman wiser, more capable, happier, more loving or guarantee her the perfect job, perfect mate or the perfect life.

.

She is a Big and Beautiful Woman who proudly owns a full length mirror. She looks into it often, if only to admire and express gratitude for the gift of a joy filled heart,or a perfect smile, gorgeous legs,a naturally perky bosom or maybe flawless skin. She understands how to play up her assets and that she should not be too bothered by her liabilities; but she is always honest about what she sees though occasionally her own worse critic.

.

She is not as concerned with fashion as she is about being neat and thoughtfully pulled together. She`s not obsessed, but she knows that she is worth the time and effort it takes to look good. The classic plus size woman pretty or plain, lights up a room when she enters. She is warm, in the moment and as polished as any "A" list celebrity, in spite of being full figured.

.

She owns clothes in a variety of sizes because she is not as concerned with numbers as she is with the best possible fit. She is not afraid to experiment with color and style though she is pretty sure about what will work for her. The Classic plus size woman appreciates quality but is not a label snob. She understand the value of timeless classics but is open to the occasional trendy item that will update, add fun, spice and variety to her wardrobe.

.

She might be overweight but she no longer over indulges. she understands that what she eats largely determines the state of her health. She has a well developed palate, she eats a balanced diet and is not a slave to junk food. She might not like working out but she will at least walk regularly for optimum health.

Acai Berries

maybe It's not all hype

Summer is here and I'm really enjoying all of the fresh fruit available. My favorite summer breakfast is a fruit smoothie. My favorite smoothie recipe = 6 Strawberries -1 Banana - 1/2 Mango, with 4oz of yogurt a little fresh ginger, a cup of Cheerios and sometimes a little carrot or pineapple juice. YUM!!! Recently I went to Walmart for more carrot juice. There in the health-food section I saw some Acai Berry juice. I'd heard about all of its claims as a great antioxidant superfood and I've also seen the glut of ads on the net touting it as an aid to weight loss. So I thought I'd try it, why not.

Well it was a fairly large bottle (64 oz) and a whoppin' $6. A lot for juice I thought so I got only one (I've since learned that there's a fancy brand sold in wine bottles going for about $40) I finished most of it in about 3 days. I absolutely love the taste. It's maybe just a little too sweet since the brand I bought is acutally a blend of powdered Acai Berries with other concentrated fruit juices but it gave my smoothies a deep rich berry flavor and a thicker consistency than the carrot or pineapple juices I normally use. I also had a few glasses of the juice over ice -delicious!
